Hello to all!! Thanks for a great weekend. Also to let you know, I went to CA for a concert a few weeks after the reunion. I met Rich Keller and his wife and went to Disneyland! Rich and I were standing in line and I told him, "I never thought in scroll that we would be at Disney together 20 years later!". Rich-you have a great family-and I will let you know when I will back in CA, and hopefully with my kids, too!

It was really great seeing all of you at the reunion. Cindy and I really had a good time. Many thanks to our unbelievable reunion committee for planning a truly great event. Also, just to let you know, Cindy gave birth to our new son, Brayden Lewis on 8-22. He came in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and is doing awesome!

First, Thank you to all of those that made the 20th happen. Without you and your love for East and the class of '87 this would never have happpened. Second, It was not only surreal to come face to face with those familiar faces that I have thought about for many years... but to have an avenue like this event after 20 yrs made me realize how much I have missed. Third, We have all taken differnt paths since '87, but we have a common bond and that bond will always be there till the end of time. What we make of it is our own...own it!!! Fourth, Get ready for the 25th. Fifth: Please, If there is ever another slide show get rid of 'Cover Boy'. Rgds, Perry

We had a wonderful time at the reunion. It was so nice to see everyone again. The evening just flew by! I hope we have an even better turnout at the 25 year. Everyone be sure to update your info on the website as it changes, so we don't lose track of anyone.

A big thank you to the reunion committee for putting together such a great event. I can't think of a single thing I would have changed. It was unbelievably awesome to see everybody again! I can’t remember the last time I was having so much fun that I stayed up until 5:30am. Thanks again to Jackie and Bonnie for getting me home! By the way, if anyone missed the tour, give me a call (242-8183)and we can arrange something.

Had my invite, my glass slippers, and my prince charming, but never made it to the ball... lucky for me Courtney called me 3 times Sat night with all the 411... I even got to talk to Sean Sanford via Courtney's cell. He'd heard that I "was in a really bad car accident or something". It’s all good Sean, but actually, I was home in KC Saturday night helping my husband through another rough night of chemotherapy pukies. Yes, our home has been blessed with terminal cancer. What a Debbie Downer moment, huh? It's ok. We've had several months now to get used to LIVING with the “Big C”. We have an impressive repertoire of cancer jokes, and if he misbehaves, I punch him in the tumor(s). Hope, humor, and a lotta faith are seeing us through. Earlier Saturday afternoon, Courtney asked if I had any bits of wisdom she could impart on my behalf. As usual, I had diarrhea of the mouth and blurted out, "Don't get cancer!" I doubt she passed that one on. Ha Ha Ha. But she got me to thinking, and my final answer is, "Don't put off your life". Not an original thought, but it's valuable. Take the trip to Italy, get that family pic taken, get a hammock -- get a mohawk! Just make room in your day/week/summer for the good stuff. It's easier than you think. (OOOOO, I'm so profound.) Much love to all. And WE WILL see you at the 25th! Cyndi

It was great to see so many former classmates at the reunion. Hats off to the committee for making that festive weekend possible. Including a tour of East was an excellent idea, as was the choice of venue for each evening event. The decorations and displays at Adventureland Inn revealed an impressive attention to detail. Nicely done. Until we meet again in 1,820 days, Godspeed.

Below is an email I rec'd this morning and wanted to pass it on to everyone going to the Fair this weekend. "Hey everyone, I just talked to my uncle , he works for the state fair, and has connections with the state fair police. They told him that the iowa state patrol and des moines police are setting up road blocks on east 30th on the first friday night of the fair , (east side night) and saturday night too, the night of the rock and roll reunion. They're going to be pulling over every 3rd or 4th car and doing breathalizers, who ever fails, goes to jail!!!!! I know a lot of my friends go to the fair on east side night, sooo let everyone know. They're doing it between 9pm and 1 am." This doesn't surprise me. Be careful everybody! We had a great time at the reunion. Thanks to everyone who worked on the committee. Hope to see many familiar faces this Friday!

Thanks to all of you who traveled near and far to attend the 20-Year reunion! I hope you found that it was well worth your time and you returned home safely. From the comments that have been received thus far, I think it was a success. But, it was only successful because you took the time to come! I personally had a ball. It was fun to see so many familiar faces. The time flew by both evenings and I definitely didn't get the time to talk to as many people as I had hoped. I wanted to let you know that the website has been renewed for another 3 years! Thanks to all of you who made a donation to keep it going. Please use it to keep in touch with old friends, post a message to all readers, post your reunion pictures, etc. I've created two photo albums on the website. One for Friday night's pictures and one for Saturday night's pictures. Please share your photos by uploading them to the website under the "Photo Albums" link. Let's not let this website "die" because the reunion is over. Let's keep it active and visit it often! Hope to see many of you at the Iowa State Fair this Friday night!

Had a great time. It was good seeing everyone. Joe that inflamed finger was the funniest thing I had ever seen. I also feel bad for Vance, there was a longest drive yet no "furthest club". (he had that hands down). Stay in touch guys.

I'm so disappointed I can't make it to the reunion. My son Ryan has been chosen to play on the high school baseball all-star team in Waterloo that same weekend. Those that live in town I'll see you around, otherwise the 25 yr will be here quickly.

Hello again! It's your friendly Reunion Committee. One item that came up at this week's meeting that we want to be sure to address for all of you who are procrastinating on purchasing your tickets. As Kelly mentioned, the deadline for purchasing your tickets is only 2 days away. We will need to turn in our final nubmers to Adventureland Inn VERY SOON. Given the fact that we have to pre-pay and pre-order all the food for Saturday night's dinner, we will NOT be able to sell tickets at the door. So, if you are planning on attending, please purchase your tickets by the deadline! It's going to be a fun event and the number of attendees increases everyday. It's been fun to watch the ticket orders come in. Please note that if you have purchased your tickets, you will not be receiving a physical ticket in the mail. We will have a check-in process. We hope to see you in August! Your EHS Class of 1987 Reunion Committee
